Remnant 2: How to unlock the secret Archon Archetype

There are a ton of secrets that are hidden throughout Remnant 2 and most of them involve unlocking either weapons or Archetypes. One of the most complex secrets you can work though will unlock the Archon Archetype. This Archetype is “the master of Weapon Mods and Mod Power generation.” In order to get your hands on this unique class, you are going to have to collect many items and have a lot of patience.

Items you must have equipped to get the Archon Archetype in Remnant 2

In order to get access to the Archon Archetype, you need to have a very specific set of items equipped to your character. There are a total of 12 different items that need to be equipped. By equipping all 12 items you will become corrupted. Once you are corrupted, you can proceed to the final steps of acquiring the Archon Archetype in Remnant 2.

• Invader archetype with the Worm Hole skill activated (Level 5)
• Explorer archetype with Fortune Hunter skill activated (Level 10)
• Amber Moonstone
• Anastasija’s Inspiration
• Black Cat Band
• Cube Gun
• Ford’s Scattergun
• Full Realmwalker Armor Set
• Labyrinth Staff
• Leto’s Amulet
• Void Heart Relic
• Zania’s Malice

Once you have all of these items unlocked and equipped to your character, you will become corrupt, and you will have to make your way to the Corrupted Portal in The Labyrinth. The Corrupted Portal is the one that has a corrupted red glow around it. If you don’t know how to get there, you can start by going to the Fractured Ingress World Stone. From the World Stone, it should be fairly easy to get to the changing portal.

Once you are at the changing portal, you must wait to jump through until it changes to a location where it looks like you are about to fall to your death. I assure you, you will not. Once you spotted the location, jump through the portal and you will be teleported in a free fall to where you will eventually land on a spawning rock path.

Once you have landed on the path, continue running straight until you reach the giant pillar looking figure straight ahead. To the right of the pillar is a set of stairs and a doorway. Head through this area and you will see the Corrupted Portal glowing in red. Since you are considered corrupted thanks to the 12 items you have equipped, you will be able to interact with the Corrupted Portal and open it using the Biome Portal Key. This will then lead you to The Backrooms.

The Backrooms is a giant yellow maze that has a few items hidden throughout. You only have a limited amount of time to explore this maze, so you won’t be able to take your time. The three items you are able to find are the Strange Box, Bisected Ring, and the Gunfire Security Lanyard. The most important one you need to find to unlock the Archon Archetype is the Strange Box. If you didn’t find it during your first time in The Backrooms, you can return to this area to try again and collect the missing items you may not have gotten before.

The Bisected Ring grants infinite stamina and the Gunfire Security Lanyard automatically reloads your weapons over a period of time. These items can come in handy, that is why you might as well collect all three secret items hidden in The Backrooms.

Once you have collected the Strange Box, you can head to Ward 13 and have a talk with Wallace. You will be able to purchase the Hexahedron from Wallace for a Strange Box, 10 Lumenite Crystals, and 1,000 Scrap. Once you have the Hexahedron, it will allow you to craft the Archon Archetype.

Acquiring the Archon Archetype is one of the most complicated in Remnant 2. However, it is considered one of the most powerful Archetypes throughout the game. Collecting all 12 items to become corrupted will take a lot of time and patience, but the feeling of unlocking such a tedious Archetype will be so rewarding.
