Don’t forget about WB Montreal’s Batman game still in the works.
Prior to Rocksteady’s announcement this week that they are working on a Suicide Squad game, there were all sorts of rumors about a Batman game being in development by WB Montreal. Apparently the studio is still working on the game, which has yet to be formally announced, and Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier has added his own little scoop into the mix.
According to the video game insider, WB Montreal was working on a Damian Wayne Batman game that was ultimately canceled or rebooted. However, they are still developing a Batman game which, according to Schrier, will also be shown at DC FanDome this month.
Yeah, they were doing a Damian Wayne Batman game but then that was canceled/rebooted as well. WB Montreal's new Batman game should also be at DC Fandome

The mystery surrounding WB Games’ Batman project has been going on for almost a year now. Last September, the studio’s Twitter account posted a celebratory tweet on Batman Day that seemed to be hiding some hints as to what their new game will be. Fans analyzed the brief video and deduced that the symbols hidden within the video were a reference to Ra’s Al Ghul (The Demon’s Head) and the Court of Owls.
Despite no announcement, rumors continued to persist. It was speculated that WB’s game was going to be called Batman: Arkham Legacy. Through all of 2019, nothing was ever made official and then, to kick off the new year, WB started posted more teasers.
It’s been radio silence since but five months ago, these rumors evolved into WB making a reboot of the franchise. It will still apparently involve the Court of Owls as the primary focus although not much else is known.
If Schreier is correct, then we should find out more at DC FanDome. The special, online digital event will take place on August 22. It would be wild if fans were treated to two DC game reveals.
