After a no show at The Game Awards, WB Games Montréal has begun teasing again what many believe to be a new Batman: Arkham game.

WB Games Montréal, the biggest trolls of 2019, are back at it again in 2020. Continuing their antics from last year, posted another cryptic teaser for what many believe will be a new Batman: Arkham game.

After posting two individual images on their Twitter and Facebook, the Batman: Arkham Origins developer finally combined them both to reveal the full logo. What it means, of course, is up for speculation as any sort of clues or information have been “/redacted.”

There’s no shortage of theories and speculation over on the Batman: Arkham subreddit. Eagle-eyed fans are scouring the image for any sort of clues or hints.

Prior to today’s teaser, the popular belief was that WB Games Montréal was working on a Batman: Arkham game involving the Court of Owls, a secret society who trains assassins. This was based on previous symbols that were teased along with various rumors from supposedly “reputable sources.”

More from App Trigger

The rumors and leaks continued up until the end of the year when many expected the game to be revealed at The Game Awards. By then, rumors of it being titled Batman: Arkham Legacy — with additional confirmation it would involve the Court of Owls — had begun to take shape.

Well, The Game Awards came, and Batman: Arkham Legacy was never announced. Even worse, there was complete radio silence from WB Games Montréal. And it had remained that way through the remainder of 2019 and into 2020, up until today when they posted this:

This has to be confirmation that a new Batman: Arkham game is in the works, right? Hopefully, we get some sort of announcement because if not, there’s going to be a lot of angry fans.

The next question is if this is, indeed, Batman: Arkham Legacy then can we expect the game to release this year? Will it be available for current-gen systems or the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5? Or perhaps all of them?

All we can do now is wait and, if you want, speculate. Let us know your thoughts on the latest teaser below.
