Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is set to begin on Feb. 7. A new season means a lot of things. It means new weapons, new features, a new Battle Pass, and it also means that we will be getting a bit of a scenery change as well.

The new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is known for bringing back the iconic maps from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). The multiplayer is filled with a majority of those maps, but there were a few new maps thrown in with the original maps throughout the course of Season 1 that gamers were able to play on. Rio, Greece, Meat, and Training Facility were the maps added throughout Season 1.

You can't have a new Call of Duty Season without the addition of some new scenery. Which is why Season 2 will see the addition of 4 new maps, 2 new variants of maps, and a brand-new War map.

Every new map coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for Season 2

  • Departures (Will launch at the start of Season 2): A medium-large 6v6 Core map where you are able to explore the Zakhaev International Airport. This map is larger than Terminal, but is another map based around the airport vibe.
  • Stash House (Will launch at the start of Season 2): A small 6v6 Core map. This map can instantly become a fan favorite due to how small this map is. If you took the map Shipment and added a couple of houses to the map, you get Stash House. Combat is going to be at a crazy fast pace.
  • Vista (Will launch at the start of Season 2): A medium 6v6 Core map. Vista is a Brazilian resort where you will do battle at a very high altitude with beautiful mountain scenery. Whether you are fighting at a bar or a gift shop, Vista has plenty of different areas for gunfights.
  • Das Haus (Added at some point during Season 2): If you played Call of Duty: Vanguard, you will recognize Das Haus. Das Haus was one of Vanguard's smallest maps and it will be making a return in Modern Warfare 3. While the overall map outline is very similar, the entire map got a brand-new look to make it feel modern and bright.
  • Airborne (Added at some point during Season 2): Airborne is a variant of the fan favorite Terminal map and will only be for a limited time at some point during Season 2. With Airborne, the normal, clean airport of Terminal has been infected. The whole map will feel like a hazmat zone with thick ooze dripping from the walls, thousands of locusts flying through the sky, and millions of cockroaches roaming the airport floor. It feels like a plague stromed through Terminal.
  • Skidgrow (Added at some point during Season 2): Skidgrow is a variant of the map Skidrow and will only be for a limited time at some point during Season 2. A very interesting play on words as ivy has grown all over the map and up every wall. Mother Nature has taken over and it looks like the Skidrow that we have known to love has been abandoned for many years in Skidgrow.
  • Operation Tin Man (War Map that will launch at the start of Season 2): The War game mode will also see the addition of one new map. Operation Tin Man will take place in downtown Urzikstan. This new map is going to remind you heavily of Modern Warfare 3's (2011) Overwatch map.

New maps are just the tip of the iceberg of what we can expect with the arrival of Season 2 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. However, new maps are always something to look forward to because you never know what new and iconic fan favorites will emerge from the shadows.

If you are looking to get your hands on anything new and exciting that Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has to offer, you can begin diving into the fun on Wednesday Feb. 7.
