The first season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be coming to an end in February. The first season has seen quite a lot of content to dive into, but the Call of Duty developers are hoping that Season 2 is even better than the first Season.
With every new Season in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, there will be new additions added to the game. This can mean a multitude of different things, but usually it means new maps, weapons, Battle Pass, game modes, and so much more. While we don't know 100% of everything we can expect to see during Season 2, there have been some important leaks to suggest a couple of new weapons potentially making their way into the game next month.
Swords and Bows may be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
A Call of Duty leaker that goes by the name of @el_bobberto on X stated that Bows and Swords may be making their way into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for Season 2.
According to the leaker, they have been told that both of these types of weapons are likely to be featured as new weapons for Season 2. To make the leak even more legit, the Sword has actually been found inside the game's files. This doesn't guarantee that we will see Swords or Bows added into the game this upcoming Season, but it does hint at a great possibility that they will be coming sooner rather than later.
This wouldn't be the first time that we have seen Swords make their way into a Call of Duty video games. In fact, the Katana has been a usable weapon in many different Call of Duty video games. The latest being Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Bows on the other hand have been a little bit more on the rarer side when it comes to Call of Duty. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War saw the use of the Recurve Bow in the campaign, but it never made its way into any online modes in that game. We have seen different variations of Crossbows, but Bow and Arrows have been a little scarcer. The only time you were able to use a Bow and Arrow in an online Call of Duty game was in Call of Duty Online itself.
Leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt since they were never revealed by Call of Duty themselves. However, seeing that Swords were found inside of the games' files, it only makes sense that they make their way into the game at some point.
