Bugs in video games can be quite annoying, often ruining a highly anticipated game’s release. Many gamers were excited to play Atomic Heart but instead were met with tons of game-breaking bugs at launch. This has been one of the biggest problems plaguing Mundfish’s newest title and it has many gamers quite irritated. Luckily, Mundfish has let us know that these bugs are being talked about and worked on as we speak.

Mundfish has released a couple of updates to patch some of these issues, but players are still very vocal about what needs to be fixed. Mundfish gave an update on the Atomic Heart Reddit page telling us what exactly they are working on fixing right now.

"Quick dev update on the state of the game from atomicheart"

It appears that their main priority now according to their post is the Neuromodule. If you don’t know exactly what they are referring to here, they are talking about fixing a problem where you couldn’t claim your drops after defeating bosses. Those items that are normally dropped would just be floating in the air where it would be impossible to claim them. Mundfish have reportedly fixed this issue going forward, but have a patch in place that is coming out soon that will fix this problem for the old saves as well.

Another major issue that has really irritated gamers is the Achievements for the game are heavily bugged. This can be a major issue for gamers who like to Achievement hunt and complete everything the game has to offer. This has been an issue that many gamers in the community have made well known and Mundfish has started to fix some of those problems and have more fixes for Achievements in the works.

The last two issues that Mundfish mentions on the Atomic Heart Reddit page is white TV screens and overall game improvements. There is no doubt that Atomic Heart has had a very rough launch and the bugs plaguing the game tends to make the game not as enjoyable as Mundfish would have hopped.

It is great that they recognize that their game is far from perfect, but they are taking the necessary steps in order to try and fix these major problems. They don’t have an exact timeframe on when these issues will be fixed because they need to be taken care of on every platform, but we do know that they recognize the mess they are in and are trying to give gamers a better experience overall.

Despite all the issues that have been taking place, it hasn’t made the game unplayable. There are still tons of things to accomplish, tons of secrets to uncover, tons of areas to explore and the world needs saving from the technology that has gone rouge. Once all of the major issues are fixed, Atomic Heart will be able to provide the best experience to gamers. For now, we just have to wait for the patches to roll out and see what fixes are included in these patches.
