Hogwarts Legacy: How to unlock True Ending (Win the House Cup)
Hogwarts Legacy is a game about choices. Your first choice comes fairly quickly in the game when you have to decide which House you want to be a part of if you don’t like the House that the Sorting Hat has put you in. Throughout your journey, you will face many more choices and one of those choices will come at the end of your journey when you need to decide which ending you want to receive.
Hogwarts Legacy features three endings in total and two of them are based on some of the final choices you will make at the end of the game. If you want to get the “good” ending, you are going to have to choose to keep the Repository a secret and keep it contained.
If you want to get the “bad” ending, you will have to make the choice to open the Repository and not keep it a secret. Professor Fig will present you with these two choices at the end of Hogwarts Legacy. However, there is a little more work needed to be done if you want to achieve the third and True Ending of Hogwarts Legacy.
How to win the House Cup
The final Main Quest in Hogwarts Legacy is called “The Final Repository.” This is the point in the story where you have chosen either the “good” or “bad” ending. However, when you are finished with this Main Quest, you will notice that two more Quests will be unlocked called “Weasley’s Watchful Eye” and “The House Cup”. These two Quests are the key to unlocking the True Ending of Hogwarts Legacy.
Completing the two Quests above will unlock the True Ending in Hogwarts Legacy, but you might not be able to complete them both right away. Weasley’s Watchful Eye can be completed immediately, but The House Cup requires that you reach level 34 before you can even begin that Quest.
If you focused mainly on the Main Quests, you won’t naturally be level 34 by the end of the game. You will have to complete some Side Quests, various Challenges, and find other Collectibles that give you XP. Luckily, there are many ways to efficiently level up fast that will even get you to max level 40 pretty quickly, so reaching level 34 shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.
Once you are finished grinding away levels to reach the appropriate level, you can now begin the true final Quest “The House Cup.” Completing this Quest will unlock Hogwarts Legacy’s True Ending and you will feel a much greater sense of closing and accomplishment with this ending.
If you are an Achievement or Trophy hunter, you will be glad to know that you have unlocked the Achievement/Trophy “The Seeker of Knowledge” by winning the House Cup. At this point in the game, you have made almost all the choices you can imagine. Now it is time to finish cleaning the game up by finding more collectibles and trying to max out your character. There is plenty of stuff remaining to do once the story is completed.
