PS5: Most anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusive games coming in 2023

2022 went by so fast and when you look back on the year, you notice that there were some pretty fantastic PlayStation 5 exclusives that came. There was the release of Horizon Forbidden West, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Gran Turismo 7. And let’s of course not forget about the release of one of the most popular video game releases of 2022, God of War: Ragnarok.

As 2023 officially gets ready to begin, it is time to look at some upcoming PS5-exclusive games to get excited about. Here are five games coming to PlayStation 5 exclusively next year that we can’t wait to play!

Forspoken (January 24, 2023)

Forspoken is a brand-new game from Square Enix that was originally supposed to be released in 2022, but ultimately got delayed until January 24, 2023. Forspoken will follow Frey Holland as she finds herself trapped in the land of Athia after being magically transported from New York City. Frey must try and look for a way back home, but along the way will encounter various monsters and creatures that she will have to try and defeat using magic she’s learned.

Horizon Call of the Mountain (February 22, 2023)

Another Horizon video game published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. However, this time you will be exploring the world in virtual reality. Horizon Call of the Mountain is a first-person VR  game that will allow you to immerse yourself into the sci-fi world that Horizon offers. While a VR experience is definitely not for everyone, it will give some gamers who are a fan of the franchise a chance to dive deeper into the world that they have come to love.

Final Fantasy XVI (June 22, 2023)

Final Fantasy 16 will be released on PlayStation 5 in the summer of 2023. From the early look that we got from the PlayStation State of Play, it appears that this installment is going to be more of the darker side of things. The visuals looks very appealing, and this game is going to be a hot commodity for PlayStation 5 gamers in 2023.

Marvel’s Spider Man 2 (Fall 2023)

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is definitely one of the most anticipated video games to come out in 2023 if it doesn’t end up being delayed. The first Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games in 2018 was one of the most popular Spider-Man video game releases of all time. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will follow Peter Parker and Miles Morales as they try and take down one of Spiderman’s most famous villains in Venom.

Before playing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, you should also play Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales which came out in 2020. Since we know that both Peter Parker and Miles Morales will be teaming up in the sequel, it will be good to play both previous games. With how much success the previous Spider-Man games have had so far, there is surely going to be a ton of conversation surrounding this game towards the end of 2023 when it is teased to be released.

Throughout the course of 2023, there will be a handful of other PlayStation 5 exclusives that will be released. However, these PS5-exclusive games are going to be some of the most anticipated for the console during 2023.
