Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the most recent mainline entry in the famous Pokemon franchise. The game not only brings in the return of many classic Pokemon but also introduces a wealth of new ones. Many of these come with evolutions where the Pokemon can become stronger, more impressive forms.

For every Pokemon, like the starters, that evolve in more traditional methods, there are Pokemon like Primeape and Gimmighoul that require you to jump through hoops. Ones like Pawmo require a lot of time. And ones like Sudowoodo and Pikachu that require particular items.

The punchy Fighting-Type Crabrawler is one that has a tricky evolution method. Mostly because you may not know what item you need or where you can get it.

You’re going to need a special item known as an Ice Stone. The Ice Stone can be found on the snowy Glaseado Mountain. Just keep an eye out for the various items that are scattered about the snowscape.

When you’ve found one, to evolve your Crabrawler to a Crabominable go into your bag, find the Ice Stone, and use it on Crabrawler.

Crabominable is an interesting trade-off because it goes from being a Fighting-type into an Ice/Fighting-type. This means that it goes from Crabrawler’s three weaknesses to Flying, Psychic, and Fairy to Crabominable’s six weaknesses, adding Fire, Steel, and Fighting.

But, on the plus side, Crabominable also gets a massive spike in several stats including Defense, HP, and a massive boost to attack power. Though, there is a dip in Speed which is unfortunate.

It’s also the only Pokemon capable of learning Ice Hammer which is a really impressive physical attack that also lowers the opponent’s speed, which is nice for helping Crabominable catch up to its opponent.

Just bare in mind you might have some difficulty getting the Ice Stone if your mount isn’t capable of climbing yet as that mountain is OBNOXIOUS without climbing.
