Elden Ring has tons for players to discover and accomplish. As your journey through the Lands Between progresses, you will encounter some pretty difficult bosses, discover many different secrets, acquire many legendary weapons and items, collect incredible Great Runes, and even collect some the most powerful weapons Elden Ring has to offer.

Elden Ring is a game that is designed for gamers to shell so many hours into. The game is designed not to be just played through once, but instead a multitude of times in order to collect and create some of the best Elden Ring builds the game has to offer. As you get further into the story and you start to become a higher level, you are going to want powerful items that are going to make the game an easier and more satisfying experience. When I use the word “powerful,” I don’t necessarily mean that they are going to do the most damage out of anything in the game. Instead, I use it in a way to describe items that are OP and going to swing the game into your favor. There may be more than five of them, but there are five that really have stuck out.

1. Bewitching Branch

The Bewitching Branch may be something you have come across in Elden Ring or maybe you had no idea what this item is. My guess is that you absolutely know what this item is because it is not something that is too hard to get. However, just because it is something that is easy to get, that doesn’t mean that the Bewitching Branch isn’t an OP item.

There are two ways you can acquire the Bewitching Branch. The first is to simply craft it. If you want to craft it, you need Fevor’s Cookbook (3). You will also need one Sacramental Bud and one Miquella’s Lily. If that is the route you want to take, you can. However, option number two is going to be quick, easy, and cheap.

The second way to acquire the Bewitching Branch would be to travel to the Nomadic Merchant located in Liurnia of the Lakes. The Nomadic Merchant sells five of them and they cost 1,600 Runes. A very affordable price for a very powerful item. It just should be noted that eventually, crafting them will be the route that will make the most sense as you can’t just buy Bewitching Branches forever.

What makes the Bewitching Branch so great is that the mist that comes off of the branch will turn any foes that touch it into temporary allies. The mist can hit more than one enemy at once so if there are a large group of enemies, they can all be turned from one Bewitching Branch. Some bosses you may encounter may have multiple enemies that are part of that specific boss fight. They might spawn really powerful allies and you can use the Bewitching Branch to turn the bosses’ allies into your allies.

The other thing that you can use the Bewitching Branch for is to brainwash an enemy and instead of using them as an ally to aid you in battle, you can attack them without them attacking you back. This can be really useful for some of the harder enemies that you will encounter, and then you would be able to defeat them without even taking a single damage of health. A highly underrated item for a piece of wood.
