So far we’re two for two on 99 Club members in Madden 22. Today, Los Angeles Rams defensive end Aaron Donald was revealed as the second member of Madden 22’s prestigious club. As such, he’ll have a perfect 99 rating in the game at launch.

This is Donald’s fifth straight year in the 99 Club, dating all the way back to Madden 18. And honestly, he deserves it.

Aaron Donald is a force to be reckoned with, recording double digit sacks in every season since 2017. He hasn’t quite matched his career high of 20.5 back in 2018, but he managed to record 13.5 sacks last season.

But even when he’s not actually taking down the quarterback, he’s still wreaking havoc in the backfield and disrupting the timing of plays. The pressure he brings at the line often causes errant throws or broken down runs.

Obviously achieving a 99 rating in Madden for five years straight is quite the accomplishment, but you have to wonder if he’ll ever get the honor of gracing the cover of a Madden game. Unfortunately, I don’t see that ever being the case as EA typically reserves the cover for a quarterback or receiver/running back, which is a shame because Donald definitely deserves it.
