PS5: New PlayStation 5 game releases for February 2021
The start of the year is typically slow for new game releases, but even January had quite a few gems. From the return of the beloved Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game – Complete Edition to the thrilling conclusion of IO Interactive’s stealth-action series with Hitman 3, there were quite a few gems last month. In February, Sony is turning it up a notch on the PlayStation 5 with the release of Destruction AllStars and Nioh 2. Below is a list of new PS5 games coming in February.
It’s worth noting that not every game on the list is explicitly being developed for PlayStation 5. Some of them, like Persona 5 Strikers, are being released on PS4 but are playable on PS5 via backward compatibility. In the instance of a game releasing for PS4 still playable on PS5, I’ve made a note.
- Destruction AllStars – February 2
- Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood – February 4
- Nioh Remastered – The Complete Edition – February 5
- Nioh 2 Remastered – The Complete Edition – February 5
- Little Nightmares 2 (backward compatible on PS5) – February 11
- Anodyne 2: Return to Dust – February 18
- Void Terrarium Plus – February 18
- Persona 5 Strikers (backward compatible on PS5) – February 23

Kicking things off in February is the vehicular combat game Destruction AllStars. This Destruction Derby-meets-Twisted Metal arena combat game will make its debut through PlayStation Plus, meaning any subscribers will be able to download and play it for free next month.
Also coming next month are PS5 versions of Team Ninja’s critically acclaimed action-roleplaying games Nioh and Nioh 2. While both of these games are already playable on PS5 via backward compatibility, the Remastered Complete Editions fully embraces the next-gen hardware with 4K visuals and support or 120fps. The PS5’s ultra-fast SSD storage will also reduce load times to mere seconds. As Complete Editions, all previously released DLC for the games are also included.
The last major game on my radar for February is Persona 5 Strikers. This hack and slash role-playing game blends the action combat of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors franchise with the story and lore of Atlus’s 2016 RPG Persona 5. It seems like a wild combination, but based on our hands-on preview of the game, it definitely works.
