CD Projekt Red has released a new hotfix for Cyberpunk 2077. It’s now live on Xbox and PlayStation and soon on PC. Here’s what’s included.

CD Projekt Red continues to work to improve the issues plaguing Cyberpunk 2077 and this evening they released a new hotfix. Hotfix 1.05 is now live on Xbox and PlayStation with PC soon to follow.

The update addresses over 25 quest issues and includes fixes for things like Jackie no longer appearing in “The Pickup” or “The Heist,” an issue with Takemura not calling in “Play it Safe,” the elevator doors not opening in “The Heist” and problems of similar nature.

There are some gameplay improvements like improved reaction times of NPCs taking cover and correcting the number of shots needed to kill civilians from a distance in combat.

There are nearly a dozen visual fixes, including the notable “T-posting” NPCs in some Suspected Organized Crime Activity: Just Say No and Gig: Hot Merchandise. Some of the visual bugs resulting in character genitals just randomly popping out have also been fixed. UI fixes for weapon crosshair and inventory menu closing have also been addressed.

Most people on consoles are probably wondering about performance and stability. Apparently, there are “multiple” stability improvements that should fix some of the crash issues. There are also a number of console- and PC-specific fixes that you can read all about in the official patch notes.

Cyberpunk 2077’s launch has been marred by a number of glitches and bugs, visual issues, and stability/performance problems resulting in constant crashes. While it’s especially problematic on last-gen consoles, the game still doesn’t run great on Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5.

CD Projekt Red has promised to work endlessly to fix these problems, but it will take time. In addition to these hotfixes, there are two major updates planned for January and February. Hopefully, by then the game starts to resemble something as promised.

In the meantime, those disappointed with Cyberpunk 2077’s performance can seek a refund. Both Sony and Microsoft are offering refunds on digital purchases made and Sony has even gone so far as to remove the game from its PlayStation Store.

Cyberpunk 2077 had been one of this year’s most anticipated launches. To see it held back by constant crashes and bugs is par for the course for 2020.
