By Ty Brody
One day prior to the start of their very own Ignition Series invitational, FaZe Clan has announced the fifth and final member of its VALORANT roster.
FaZe Clan has gradually put together an exciting roster of players that have experience at the highest level in various FPS titles. The team has made a series of roster announcements leading up to the start of the VALORANT Ignition Series FaZe Clan Invitational, which begins on Thursday, August 6th. Today, the team finalized their five-man roster with the signing announcement of Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty, the ex-Houston Outlaws flex support from the Overwatch League.

“Rawkus” began his Overwatch career back in 2016, but most recently played as flex support on the Houston Outlaws. In 2019, he competed alongside the Overwatch League MVP and now fellow VALORANT competitor, Jay “Sinatraa” Won, as a member of the United States team in the Overwatch World Cup. Following his official retirement from the Overwatch League at the start of August, “Rawkus” has clearly made an impression on FaZe Clan and joins a roster with a ton of potential. Continuing the recent trend of roster announcements, Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty will become the fourth member of FaZe Clan to transition from Overwatch over to VALORANT.
FaZe Clan has been quick to announce their roster as we approach the start of their Ignition Series Invitational, which marks the debut for FaZe Clan’s full VALORANT lineup. Just yesterday, the team announced Andrej “babybay” Francisty as the team’s fourth member.
The team’s five-man roster heading into the FaZe Clan Invitational is:
- Corey “Corey” Nigra
- Zachary “ZachaREEE” Lombardo
- Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen
- Andrej “babybay” Francisty
- Shane “Rawkus” Flaherty
The Ignition Series FaZe Clan Invitational is going to be an important measuring point for this newly formed roster. FaZe will be up against some of the best teams in VALORANT from recent outings, including “Sinatraa” and the Sentinels who have looked unstoppable at times.
