TFT: What’s new with the Teamfight Tactics Galaxies II Pass
TFT Galaxies mid-set update is due out in June and with it will come the Galaxies II Pass filled with brand new cosmetic rewards to unlock.
With the release of TFT Galaxies, the third set in Riot Games’ auto-battler, came the Galaxies Pass+. This was Riot’s way of introducing a revenue stream, offering a paid version of what was essentially a season pass for players to unlock cosmetic rewards.
With the mid-set update coming next month, TFT Galaxies will remain in place. However, a lot will change with the addition of 14 new champions and two traits (Astro and Battlecast) along with the removal of Valkyries, Voids and a few other champions. But beyond the actual gameplay changes, we’ll be getting a new Galaxies Pass and Pass+.
Like the first half of this set, there will be both a free and paid pass. Both tracks will offer cosmetic rewards for playing the game, although you’ll be getting more with the Galaxies Pass+. Progress towards both the Galaxies II Pass and Galaxies II Pass+ will being when the mid-set update goes live on June 10 (progress starts at 11:00 a.m. PT).
Riot will be making some changes to how you progress through the track. If you’re like me and play TFT regularly, you probably found yourself completing the Galaxies Pass really quickly. In an effort to keep players more engaged for longer, the number of games required to complete the pass will be increased. However, weekly missions will be available that provide large amounts of experience, which should help boost those who play less often.
The Galaxies II Pass+ will cost 1295 RP ($9.99 on mobile) and will include additional and exclusive Little Legends, arenas and booms. If you’re not sure how much you’ll play this next set, you can simply play with the free pass. If you decide to purchase the Galaxies II Pass+ at a later date, you will instantly receive all the rewards up to the level you’ve unlocked.
New emotes, Little Legends eggs and Arenas will be available with this set’s Pass. The Pass+ will include even more exclusives and additional Little Legends. Booms, the explosive, particle effects that show up when you deal damage to the enemy player, will be exclusive to Pass+. There will even be a few champion-inspired effects.
Perhaps my favorite cosmetic with the new Galaxies II Pass+ is the Star Guardian Sprite, which is unlocked immediately when you purchase the Pass+. A second Star Guardian-themed Little Legend can also be unlocked along the track.
There are also three new Immortal Creatures Little Legends. All three look absolutely amazing in their design and it’s cool to see Riot getting very creative with these. I didn’t think I’d care about cosmetics in Teamfight Tactics, but Little Legends manage to be a fun way for players to represent themselves and I love these new ones.

Finally, two new arenas can be unlocked, giving you more options for your home base in a game. The first is the Space Pirate-inspired Dreadnova Arena.
The second is a Spaceship Arena, which is inspired by Rebels. This one will only be available through the Galaxies II Pass+.
The TFT Galaxies II Pass+ will run from June 10,2020 at 11:00 a.m. PT through September 14, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
