Clash of Clans December update: Yeti sneak peek
Coming with the Clash of Clans December update and Town Hall 13 (but available at TH12) is the Yeti, a powerful new Troop that unleashes miniature Yetimites.
Another day, another sneak peek for the Clash of Clans December update. Today, Supercell revealed the Yeti, a new troop that will unlock at Town Hall 12 when you upgrade your barracks. That’s right, despite Town Hall 13 being the major focal point of this month’s update, the Yeti will actually be available at the current TH12.
The adorable and “furry-ous” Yeti continues the theme of the December update, which seems to be mass attacks and spamming troops. You’ll notice the Yeti carries a basket filled with pink things on its back. Those are Yetimites and they will deal additional damage as well. Supercell explains:
"When the Yeti takes damage, its Yetimite friends will hop from their cozy wicker sanctuary and seek retribution. When the Yeti’s Hit Points reach zero, the remaining Yetimites break free and will swarm the enemy as they perform untold acts of mischief like hopping over Walls to deal damage or leave everyone’s shoelaces untied."
With the arrival of the Yeti and its Yetimites, the addition of the Scattershot and Giga Inferno just became much more important to a village’s defense. The Scattershot is a new defensive building that hurls a projectile of loosely-tied rocks at its targets that break apart and cause additional damage to units behind the initial target. Meanwhile, the Giga Inferno, which is the Town Hall 13 signature defense, acts as a “multi-mode Inferno Tower” and deals damage over time to multiple enemies at once.
Both buildings seem to address a swarming attack strategy which the Yeti plays right into. Not to mention, the new Siege Barracks also unleashes waves of troops in addition to Clan Castle reinforcements.

The Yeti takes up 18 housing space and costs 19K Elixir to train at level one. It boasts 2,900 Hit Points and deals 230 damage per second, while the Yetimites each have 300 hitpoints and deal 56 damage. While the Yeti does not have a favorite target, Yetimites will focus defense and do four times the damage with area splash. They will target both ground and air, as well.
This is the fourth sneak peek for the Clash of Clans December update. With tomorrow being Friday and the end of the week, I expect Supercell will finally unveil the new Hero that is expected to arrive with Town Hall 13.
It’s unclear if any additional sneak peeks will continue throughout the weekend. It’s believed that the update will arrive at some point next week.
