Ubisoft has already teased the next major Title Update for The Division 2, which will include a fourth specialization for the endgame.

Since its release in March, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 has already seen multiple updates expanding upon the open-world title. Most recently was the release of Title Update 3 which included the franchise’s first-ever 8-player raid, Operation Dark Hours.

Coming next will be Title Update 3.1 with an aim to fix bugs and other issues brought forth by the previous title update and raid. But beyond that, Ubisoft is already eyeing the game’s next major update.

In the latest State of the Game address, Ubisoft briefly touched on Title Update 4. It doesn’t sound like we’re anywhere close to getting the update as there’s no actual date or timeframe for when it will arrive, but Ubisoft did promise more content with it. Most notably will be the addition of a fourth specialization.

Again, no actual details were offered, but even knowing that a new specialization is on the way is pretty exciting. The Division 2 currently has three specializations that become available once you hit level 30 and complete the main story. Players can freely swap between the Survivalist, Demolitionist and Sharpshooter specializations, each featuring their own unique skill tree and signature weapon.  With a crossbow, grenade launcher and sniper rifle as the main specialization weapons, what do you think will be the fourth?

More details are said to be coming, likely as we get closer to Title Update 4. Ubisoft also confirmed that there will be a public test server for the update as to ensure most of the bugs and balancing tweaks are worked out ahead of time.

Ubisoft’s continuous updates to The Division 2 are all part of the developer’s robust post-launch plans, which include three major episodic releases in the first year alone. The first episode, D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions is slated to arrive this summer, but does not yet have a firm release date. The episodes will bring new missions and locations, new game modes and much more. But as we’ve seen thus far, Ubisoft rolls out new content on a continuous basis each month, not just with major named episodes.

As a reminder, Ubisoft has plans to release a total of three new specializations throughout the first year. With three episodes planned, it’s possible that one new specialization will accompany each episode. If that’s the case, we can expect Title Update 4 to arrive sometime this summer.
