Rockstar Games' highly anticipated blockbuster Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming next year. But when exaclty is anyone's guess.

Many have turned to Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two for any sort of hint as to when GTA 6 could released. Previously, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick had indicated that Grand Theft Auto 6 could arrive during the company's FY25, which runs from April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025.

However, during the latest earnings call, Take-Two provided a lower revenue guidance for FY25 than previously. Given the popularity of Grand Theft Auto and the revenue potential for GTA 6, it seems to suggest that Take-Two doesn't think the game will be released during this period.

In other words, it's possible that GTA 6 is now set to release at some point in FY26, which runs from April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026. If this does indeed prove to be the case, then we can expect Grand Theft Auto 6 to release no sooner than April 1, 2025.

At the end of the day, Take-Two is going to make a boat load of money from GTA 6. Whether it happens in FY25 or FY26 may not seem like a huge deal to us gamers — especially since we're only talking a few weeks or months difference at most — but this could sway investors who trade daily, weekly, or monthly.

Rockstar released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 back in December, confirming the next installment in the blockbuster series will take place in Vice City, the franchise's fictional city inspired by Miami and Miami Beach.

While there were high hopes for the game, the trailer still managed to surprise everyone. It's rare for a game to live up to the hype, especially years in the making, but Rockstar looks set to deliver another gem of a game.
