Does Helldivers 2 have an AFK kick feature?

Helldivers 2 has gotten off to a very impressive start with so many players trying to access the game at one time. Arrowhead Game Studios' newest game has even started to break Steam player count records for games such as GTA V and even Starfield. There have been so many players trying to play that the servers are reaching max capacity at a much higher than expected rate, leading to many other server problems.

Does Helldivers 2 kick players for inactivity?

Since Helldivers 2 is so popular, players are trying to do everything they can to stay on the servers once they have managed to get online. It has even gotten to the point where players have admitted that they are purposely not logging out once they are done playing and are remaining AFK while on the game.

Currently, Arrowhead Game Studios does not have an AFK or inactivity kicker that kicks players out of the server who aren't playing. This has become a major problem because with players choosing to go AFK to save their spot in the servers, it is not allowing other players to get on and play the game.

This doesn't mean that players are just going AFK for a few hours, some gamers have even taken it to the extreme of being inactive for more than 3 days. There are so many players and they do not want to lose their spot on the server.

With all the uproar that is hitting the Helldivers 2 community, we can only assume that Arrowhead Game Studios will be soon adding a time that kicks you for inactivity.

Every major game that has a ton of active players have an inactivity timer that kicks players. Even games such as Rocket League and Call of Duty have these inactivity timers so that any of the AFK players are not ruining the overall experience.

If you are someone who is not logging out of the game once you are finished, you will soon be kicked for inactivity. The CEO of Arrowhead Game Studios already responded to complaints on Twitter that this issue has already been mentioned to the team and a fix would be in the works.

If you do manage to get onto any of the Helldivers 2 servers, there is a ton to accomplish and a bunch to explore. Arrowhead Game Studios really hit this one out of the park with their sequel, they just need to patch up some issues with the game and the rest will be smooth sailing from there.
