Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 doesn't launch worldwide until October 25, but gamers are already getting the itch to dive into the latest adventure. If you are one of those gamers who have liked what they have seen so far from Treyarch, you may have already pre-ordered the game so you can get into the action on day one.

Just like in years past, there is more than one Edition of Call of Duty that you can purchase. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 features two different Editions that you can purchase that caters to every kind of Call of Duty gamer.

Standard/Cross-Gen Edition ($69.99 or included with Xbox Game Pass)

The Standard Edition of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is also the Cross-Gen Edition as well. Since Black Ops 6 will be playable on the last generation consoles, the Standard Edition will allow you to play on both console generations without losing your progress.

By pre-ordering the Standard/Cross-Gen Edition of Black Ops 6, you will be granted with the following rewards:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Base Game
  • Early Access to the Open Beta
  • Woods Operator Pack

If you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available day one on the Game Pass for no additional charge. The Standard/Cross-Gen Edition will be the Edition available on the Game Pass. If you are an Xbox gamer and plan on playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on Xbox consoles, this is how a majority of gamers are going to "purchase" Black Ops 6.

If you plan on playing Black Ops 6 on PlayStation consoles or PC, you will have purchase the game like normal for $69.99.

Vault Edition ($99.99 or $29.99 with Xbox Game Pass Subscription)

There is always an option for the die hard fans of Call of Duty. This year that option comes in the form on the Vault Edition. The Vault Edition does cost $30 more and sits at a hefty $99.99. The major difference in the Vault Edition compared to the Standard/Cross-Gen Edition is that the Vault Edition is going to grant you with more rewards in-game and also give you a bit of a head start on the Call of Duty grind.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Base Game
  • Early Access to the Open Beta
  • Woods Operator Pack
  • Hunters vs Hunted Operator Pack
  • Mastercraft Weapon Collection
  • BlackCell (1 Season)
  • GobbleGum Pack for Zombies

If the four additional rewards you get for the extra $30 seems worth it to you, the Vault Edition may be more your speed. If you are a huge multiplayer grinder, sometimes the 1 season of BlackCell is all you need to see to sell you on purchasing the Vault Edition.

Once again if you plan on playing Black Ops 6 via the Xbox Game Pass, you have things a little bit easier. While the Standard/Cross-Gen Edition of Black Ops 6 will be included into your subscription at no additional cost, you can choose to pay a one-time $30 charge to upgrade to the Vault Edition of Black Ops 6. Since subscribers won't have to shell out $69.99 to play on the Xbox Game Pass, the Vault Edition upgrade may be a hot commodity in the Xbox community.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released worldwide on October 25 for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC. With still over four months to go until the highly anticipated release, there is still plenty of time to decide which Black Ops 6 Edition is the correct one for you.
