EA FC Mobile release date, cover athlete revealed
EA announced this week EA Sports FC Mobile, the next iteration of its mobile football game. With EA having dropped the FIFA license, its popular FIFA Mobile experience is relaunching as FC Mobile. The free update is scheduled to release on September 26, marking the official launch of EA FC Mobile.
The cover athlete for the inaugural version of EA FC Mobile will be Real Madrid winger Vini Jr. As such, fans can experience his actual style of play through in-game features such as True Player Personality and Impact Controls.
EA Sports FC Mobile licenses and gameplay
Despite the lack of FIFA branding, EA Sports FC Mobile will still contain authentic licenses such as:
- UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA
- Europa Conference League
- Premier League
- LALIGA EA SPORTS
- Bundesliga
- Serie A TIM
- Ligue 1 Uber Eats
- MLS
To keep players engaged throughout the football season, there will be in-game playable events that correspond to the real-world tournaments. Additionally, players will be able to create their own UEFA Champions League and take one of the 32 qualified clubs from the Group Stages to the Finals.
Beyond the licensing, EA FC Mobile aims to deliver realistic and dynamic gameplay across mobile devices. True Player Personality delivers authentic gameplay styles of real-life players, replicating their running styles, penalty kick stances and even celebrations. EA FC Mobile also features dynamic game speed geared specifically toward the mobile experience. Impact controls give you more control on the pitch, including a Power Shot, Knock on Dribble, and Hard Tackle.
EA Sports FC Mobile is set to arrive on September 26, 2023 as a free update to the current FIFA Mobile. Those who want a bit of a head start can take part in the Founders event from August 24 through September 26. Participating in this event will let you obtain the FC Mobile Founder status, unlocking special in-game player items when EA Sports FC Mobile launches.
