The Nintendo Switch was released back in 2017 and ever since then, the Switch has been ultra successful. Throughout the lifespan of the Nintendo Switch, there have been some pretty great games to be released on the console. Some of those games have done better than others, but each of those games have provided gamers with countless ends of entertainment. Earlier this year we found out that Nintendo sold over 1 billion copies of video games, but now we have the list of the ten best-selling Nintendo Switch games of all time.

Selling 1 billion copies of video games on the Switch is something Nintendo will take a lot of stock in. This accomplishment marks the first time that any Nintendo platform has achieved such a feat, which isn’t surprising figuring how popular the Switch has grown over the past half decade plus.

At the top of this list, you will see the iconic Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Mario Kart 8 was one of the first ever video games to be released on the Nintendo Switch. In fact, they are still selling Switch bundles with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe inside. This game has been a huge selling point for the Nintendo Switch, and it doesn’t surprise me at all that this game sits atop this list.

However, if you take an even closer look at the rest of the list, you will notice that the list is dominated by three huge franchises. Nine of the ten games on the list are either from the Mario, Pokemon, or Zelda franchise. These three franchises always dominate for Nintendo and the financial date supports that claim.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom just recently came out in May and has already made its way to number 9 all time. It is no secret that gamers have loved Tears of the Kingdom and it definitely lived up to all of its hype.
