The Nintendo Switch is home to a lot of many great games and franchises. Just released a few weeks ago was the blockbuster The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Fans have been raving about Tears of the Kingdom and the way it is going, it can be a heavy favorite to win the game of the year. However, as the year goes on, more great games from iconic franchises will be released. Next up is Street Fighter 6.

Is Street Fighter 6 coming to Nintendo Switch?

Unfortunately, unlike The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Street Fighter 6 will not be released on the Nintendo Switch, Capcom has confirmed. One of the best parts about owning a Nintendo Switch is that you are able to use it as a stationary console, or you can take it on the go. You aren’t going to be able to do that with the Street Fighter 6.

It is no secret that the Nintendo Switch isn’t nearly as powerful as the Xbox Series X|S or the PlayStation 5. Due to the limitations of the hardware in the Nintendo Switch, it would make releasing the video game on the console just too hard and almost seem sort of forced.

The whole purpose of when a video game hits the shelves is to make sure that no matter what console gamers tend to play their video games, they get the best experience possible. Capcom has made the decision to not release Street Fighter 6 on the Nintendo Switch because you would not be able to get the best experience possible with not as powerful of hardware.
