Supercell appears to be readying to launch the Spring 2023 update for Clash of Clans. The developer of the long-running action strategy game released a calendar of its plans for May, and while there was no direct confirmation of the update, there was mention of something called “Builder Base Bonanaza Part 1.”

Supercell has been hard at work on the revamped Builder Base 2.0 which is believed to be arriving with the next major update this Spring. As the Builder Base Bonanaza begins on May 10th, that could be when the update drops. Or perhaps that’ll be when the sneak peeks begin, which would mean the update arrives later this month. Either way, players should be prepared for the next major update to Clash of Clans to come at some point in May.

Typically, the update is preceded by a week or so of sneak peeks which usually tease the major features of the update, including any new Troops or Buildings. In this case, as the major feature is likely Builder Base 2.0, expect the majority of sneak peeks to be focused on this.

Of course, that doesn’t mean the Home Village will go completely ignored. Last year’s spring update introduced the Clan Capital which has become a huge part of the game. The Clan Capital put more of an emphasis on Clans working together towards a common goal. Updates throughout the year continued to build on the Clan Capital and expect at least a new feature or two with this update.

The update for Clash of Clans appears to be arriving a little later than usual this year but that’s almost certainly due to the Builder Base revamp. This has been a huge project for Supercell and it appears they are just about ready to ship it out. In today’s blog post focused on layouts, Troop levels and B.O.B., Supercell even mentioned that the “Builder Base 2.0 update is drawing near,” while hinting that sneak peeks are likely to start soon.

“We’ve got some exciting sneak peeks in the works!” the developer teased.

As we’re now halfway through the week, it’s possible that the sneak peeks could start this weekend and carry into next week. May 10th would fall on a Wednesday. I, personally, believe that the Builder Base Bonanaza will be some kind of in-game event celebrating the new Builder Base, and will coincide with sneak peeks. If that were to be the case, then I expect the update to release around the week of May 15th.
