Fans might be wondering where Fernando Tatis Jr. is in MLB The Show 23 since the game’s launch on Mar. 28.
Tatis Jr., a former MLB The Show cover star, was suspended Aug. 12, 2022 for 80 games after testing positive for Clostebol, a violation of the league’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. He is still serving his suspension and has not been reinstated by MLB yet. As such, he’s currently not in MLB The Show 23.
Is Fernando Tatis Jr. in MLB The Show 23?
Once he’s reinstated in the league, he’ll likely be added back to MLB The Show 23 in all modes in accordance with a roster update. He’s currently not available in popular modes like Exhibition and Diamond Dynasty.
For fans of the latter, it would behoove them to complete the San Diego Padres Live Series Collection before Tatis Jr. is reinstated because his card will likely be expensive. Currently, the Padres only have one Diamond: Manny Machado who costs around 40,000 Stubs. Tatis Jr. cards have in the past cost near 200,000 Stubs. Once he’s back in the game, the price of this Collection will likely skyrocket depending on Tatis Jr.’s rating.
MLB The Show 23 is available now for PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
