PGA Tour 2K23: How to play as WWE Superstar John Cena
EA Sports PGA Tour is set to release on April 7. However, it has a little competition in PGA Tour 2K23 and 2K Sports has a twist of their own to try and draw golf fans to the game. 2K Sports revealed that John Cena will become the third playable non-pro golf player to come into PGA Tour 2K23 starting on April 7. He joins Michael Jordan and Stephen Curry as other non-professional golfers to be featured in the game.
Even if you aren’t a wrestling fan, there’s a good chance that you know who John Cena is. Although he is most famously known for being one of the greatest wrestlers in the world, he has since expanded his fame into the film/TV industry, as well as the video game industry. Since John Cena is such a big name, companies love to use him as a great marketing feature to attract them to their product.
John Cena has been very popular in the video game industry over the past couple of years. He was recently added into Fortnite and was also named the cover athlete for WWE 2K23.
On April 7, PGA Tour 2K23 will be getting a free update, adding John Cena as a playable character. This is very convenient timing as April 7th is also the release date of EA Sports PGA Tour. PGA Tour 2K23 will be free to download for a limited time on Xbox platforms (April 6-April 9) and PC (April 6-April 10). So, even if you don’t own the game, you can download it for free and give John Cena and other celebrities a chance on the green.

The update will not only be adding John Cena into the game’s lineup, but it will also feature golfing pro Nelly Korda, the Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Pinehurst No. 2 Golf Course, Eastside Golf gear, Barstool Sports Fore Play Podcast golfers, and so much more. While not a ton of new news has broken recently about PGA Tour 2K23, it seems like the timing is very convenient that this news is coming out one week prior to EA Sports PGA Tour.
