It is hard to believe that Hogwarts Legacy has been out for almost a month now. It feels like just yesterday everyone started attending Hogwarts as a fifth-year student and now a majority of gamers have trekked to the end of the game. Even when you have completed the game, there is still so much that you can accomplish. Whether you are still playing the game or just about to begin a new journey, one thing that players find fun is creating character builds around other iconic Harry Potter figures.

Professor Severus Snape is one of the most iconic and important Harry Potter characters in the franchise. Although Severus Snape isn’t directly in Hogwarts Legacy himself, there is a way you can design an entire character build around him.

If you want to really get the most out of your Severus Snape character build, you are first going to want to choose your House as House Slytherin. Severus Snape was the House leader of Slytherin in the Harry Potter franchise, and this just makes the build feel a bit more real. It doesn’t matter which House you end up choosing. A Severus Snape build can be created using any of the four Houses.

Spells

  • Diffindo
  • Expelliarmus
  • Levioso
  • Avada Kedavra

There are a handful of Spells that represent Severus Snape in Hogwarts Legacy. The first Spell you want to use is Diffindo. Diffindo isn’t a Spell that Snape used in the franchise, but it resembles a slicing Spell that he used and created. This is a great damage Spell to use on enemies and a must-use if you are trying to recreate Snape as closely as possible.

Expelliarmus and Levioso are two more Spells that Snape actually uses in the movies and books. Expelliarmus is a great Spell that makes enemies drop their weapons, while doing damage at the same time. This makes fighting certain enemies a whole lot easier. You can also pair Expelliarmus with the Ancient Magic Throw Expertise Talent. This allows you to throw the weapons that are dropped with Expelliarmus back at the enemy, doing even more damage and thus killing them faster.

Levioso is a control Spell that allows you to lift small objects and animals into the air. In the movies and books, Severus Snape created a Spell called Levicorpus. Levicorpus is a Spell that allows the caster to hang someone upside down in the air by their ankles. Unfortunately, Levicorpus isn’t a Spell that you can acquire in Hogwarts Legacy, so Levioso is the closest thing we have. There are ways that you can make the Levioso Spell even stronger using your Talent Points, so this Spell can actually become very powerful if you use it correctly.

The final Spell you want to make sure you have on this Severus Snape build is Avada Kedavra. Avada Kedavra is one of the three Unforgivable Curse Spells and is a must to have for Severus Snape. Avada Kedavra plays a special role with Snape in the Harry Potter franchise and this build would not be complete without having this Spell. If you are unfamiliar with the Avada Kedavra Spell, it is an instant kill Spell.
