For those of you who are unaware, there will be an Xbox Showcase at the end of the month in which Microsoft will talk about some upcoming highly anticipated Xbox and Bethesda games and maybe some potential extra news that Xbox may throw out our way. The Xbox Showcase is being called the Xbox Developer_Direct and you can expect to see video games such as Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft Legends. Starfield will unlikely be a part of the show and will get its own showcase somewhere down the line because of how big the game is going to be. While we already have a good idea of some of the video games we are going to see, there is a really good chance that Xbox makes a huge announcement regarding Ubisoft Plus.

It has been known for almost a year that Ubisoft would be bringing Ubisoft Plus to Xbox at some point. Ever since that announcement was made back in January 2022, there hasn’t been any more news really to come out of that statement. However, that may be about to change and in very short order.

A Twitter User that goes by the name of @MauroNL3 has noticed that a good number of Ubisoft titles has been priced free and shared a photo citing his findings. This “deal” is slated to end somewhere between January 16 and January 17, but this “deal” seems awfully weird. Is this a coincidence? I don’t fully think that. Some of the video games featured in this 100% off price slash are the Assassin Creed games, Far Cry games, and a whole plethora of other Ubisoft titles.

These changes to these video game titles are happening at just the right moment to potentially have a huge Ubisoft announcement at the Xbox Showcase on January 25. After all, there has been no official word on Ubisoft making an announcement at the Showcase, but Xbox loves to throw surprises our way and this may very well be one of them.

At one point, it was thought that maybe Ubisoft Plus would be thrown in as part of an Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. This may not be the case as Ubisoft Plus may have different tiers to offer gamers where the pricier options would feature more benefits such as AAA releases at launch. There may be some parts of Ubisoft Plus that makes their way onto the Xbox Game Pass such as some of the cheaper options, but of course nothing has been confirmed by Xbox or Ubisoft yet.

There is also a good chance that the service would be made available sooner than January 25 given that the date of the free price is scheduled to end between January 16 and January 17. Regardless, we can expect the service to hit Xbox sooner rather than later.

When Ubisoft Plus does launch on Xbox consoles, it will be a great subscription service to purchase. You will get access to some of Ubisoft’s greatest franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Watch Dogs, and so much more. I am sure that Ubisoft will also take advantage of having some day one games make their way onto the service as well.

With all of that being said, expect there to be some sort of formal announcement in the coming weeks. Whether it be January 16, January 17, January 25, or whatever other date, the Ubisoft Plus subscription service will make its way onto Xbox eventually and it appears that eventually is January.
