It is hard to believe that the holidays are already upon us, and we are just a couple of weeks away from shutting the doors on 2022. However, before we can get to that point, we need to get through the holiday season. Once of the most popular purchases for the holidays this year is once again going to be the Nintendo Switch. Whether it comes down to purchasing a new one or your first Nintendo Switch console, purchasing some of the great games that came out this year for the Nintendo Switch, or even buying accessories for your console, Nintendo is going to bring in a lot of money during this time of year.

Purchasing a Nintendo Switch

This console is going to be popular for a variety of reasons this year. There were plenty of great games that were released on it, it is the perfect console for families, and Nintendo has a lot of great franchises with a lot of popular games that gamers want to play. However, before you can play any of Nintendo’s great games, you might be looking to purchase a Switch around this time of year.

Luckily, finding a Nintendo Switch is not going to be overly hard to do. Most department stores like Target and Best Buy will have the Switch on the shelves to buy when you walk in. If for some reason they do not, Nintendo’s website also has the Nintendo Switch available for purchase as well.

Great games to purchase for your Nintendo Switch

Like I mentioned before, there were a ton of great games that came out this year on the Nintendo Switch and many to get excited about going forward. From Mario, Pokemon, and Legend of Zelda, there are a bunch of great games you can buy for your Switch this holiday season.

Not only is Legend of Zelda one of the greatest Nintendo franchises of all time, but it’s also one the greatest video game franchises of all time. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild isn’t brand new, but the sequel is coming out and is highly anticipated. Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is going to be the sequel and actually won a 2022 Game Award for the most anticipated video game.

Splatoon 3 and Kirby and the Forgotten Land also each landed a 2022 Game Award. Splatoon 3 won Best Multiplayer Game and Kirby and the Forgotten Land won the Game Award for Best Family Game. Not to mention that Nintendo Switch Sports also was nominated for Best Family Game. Lots of love for Nintendo at this year’s Game Awards.

You also can’t go wrong with any types of Pokemon or Mario game purchases. Nintendo makes a lot of their money from both of those franchises and there are tons of great options to choose from. Super Mario Odyssey got tremendous reviews and is one of the highest rated Mario games on the Nintendo Switch at this time. As far as Pokemon goes, those games are always fun and entertaining games to play.

In this era of gaming, playing online is king. Nintendo Switch offers online game play if you purchase a subscription to do so. You can purchase Nintendo Switch Online in stores on digitally and you can do so for a relatively cheap price. If you are looking to purchase 12-months of online play, it is only going to cost $20 to do so.

It should also be noted that having a case to carry your Switch around in is great to have as well. The Switch acts as a portable console too. You can play from the comfort of your own home or play on the go. Whether you bring it to someone else’s house and play or play with it on a long road trip, having a case to carrying it around in is going to do you wonders. There are plenty of great choices for a case. Target sells a Traveler Deluxe Travel Case for $15 that will not only hold your Nintendo Switch, but it will also allow you to carry around a handful of your games as well. A great price that protects your Switch and Switch Games as you take it on the go.
