Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign early access revealed

With Fall just around the corner, it is officially that time of year again. It is Call of Duty season! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is officially set to release on October 28, which means there’s only a little over two months before we go hands-on with the highly anticipated reboot of one of the best games in Call of Duty history.

We already know that gamers will have the chance to play the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta starting on September 16 through September 20 as part of Weekend One. This first Weekend One Beta will exclusive to PlayStation platforms. Then from September 22 through September 26 will start Weekend Two of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Beta. During this time frame it will be opened up to all platforms that include PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Open Beta for Call of Duty video games is something that the community expects but Activision dropped some other exciting news. You’ll be able to play the Campaign early as well!

Activision made the announcement on the Call of Duty Twitter and also released a short little video on their YouTube channel stating that you can play the Campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 early if you pre-order the game digitally. Along with pre-ordering the game early, you will also receive a handful of other pre-order rewards such as:

• Up to one-week early access to the full Modern Warfare 2 Campaign
• Access to the full game on October 28
• Open Beta Early Access
• Final Judgement Bundle: Immediate access to the Legendary “Deathknell” Operator Skin and the Legendary “Bloodthirsty” Weapon Blueprint for use in Vanguard and Warzone.

With this news, there is even more incentive to pre-order Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Getting to play the Campaign starting on October 20 is a great way to get more people involved with the single player mode. Since a majority of the Call of Duty community purchases the video game for the multiplayer mode, there will be more incentive to complete the Campaign while you wait for the full Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game to release eight days later on October 28.

Based off of the little teaser trailer and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 World Premiere trailer that dropped a couple months ago, the game graphics look absolutely stunning. Of course, video games always look better when shown in reveal videos. However, with how console and PC technology continue to progress and improve, this is going to be one of the best-looking Call of Duty games of all time.

If you are planning to purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 anyway, you might as well just pre-order the video game now. This way you will get all of the pre-order bonuses, access to the Multiplayer Open Beta and a week of early access to the campaign. With this news, you can have the whole Campaign completed before the full game is released. Then you can put all your focus on the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer.
