With Call of Duty: Vanguard on the way, and set to release this November, Activision and Sledgehammer Games are giving PlayStation users the chance to jump into the game’s newest multiplayer mode: Champion Hill.

The Call of Duty: Vanguard PlayStation Alpha runs for 48 hours from August 27 (10:00 a.m. PT) through August 29 (10:00 A.m. PT). Clearly, it’s only available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. But other than console, there are no limitations. As long as you own a PS4 or PS5, you can jump in and play — not even a PlayStation Plus subscription requirement.

The Alpha will give players a chance to go hands-on with Champion Hill, the newest mode that’s an evolution Gunfight. As previously detailed, Champion Hill is a “tournament-style, multi-map and multi-life game mode” that emphasizes individual player skill. The game mode supports Duo (2v2) or Trio (3v3) squads with the ultimate goal to be the last squad standing.

Although everyone begins the game with the same Loadout, you are able to collect cash — by taking enemy lives or finding it scattered across the map — and purchase weapons, armaments, equipment, Perks, and Killstreaks during the Buy Rounds.
