Madden 22: The best RB and WR duo in the game

Madden 22 is set to release in just a little over two weeks on August 20, 2021. That being said, the ratings for every player have already been released publicly.

Naturally, player ratings are a controversial topic as everyone has their own opinion and bias. But it’s clear looking at player overall ratings, that there is a clear winner when it comes to the top running back and wide receiver duo in Madden 22.

That tandem will be coming from the Tennessee Titans this year and the honor goes to Derrick Henry and Julio Jones.

The Tennessee Titans finished with an 11-5 record and made an impressive playoff run last season, making it all the way to the Conference Championship before falling to the Chiefs. The addition of Julio Jones should only make them better.

EA obviously is very high on the Tennessee Titans duo this year. Running back Derrick Henry is rated a 96 overall while Julio Jones is rated 95 overall. That puts them as the highest rated running back and wide receiver combo in Madden 22. The craziest part of it all is that they are actually the only two players on the Titans who are rated higher than a 90 overall. After Julio Jones at a 95 overall, the next highest player on the team is FS Kevin Byard at an 88 overall.

Among the league, Henry ranks as the second-best running back in Madden 22, behind Christian McCaffrey (97 OVR). Jones is a little lower on the totem pole but still ranks in the top five of wide receivers in the game.

The Titans are not even close to being the best team in the NFL, but it goes to show you that these two players just have tons of pure talent no matter which team they end up playing for. With Madden 22 only a couple weeks away from release, it should be interesting to see how this duo blends with one another in Madden 22 before they play as real life teammates for the first time ever this fall.
