Clash of Clans June 2021 update: Blast off with the Rocket Balloon Super Troop
The second sneak peek for the Clash of Clans June 2021 update (aka the Summer update) was revealed today. And while it wasn’t a brand new troop, it was a new Super Troop — an upgraded version of already existing troops.
The Rocket Balloon is a Super Troop variant of the standard Balloon. It’s equipped with boosters that allow the Rocket Balloon to speed into battle more quickly. Check it out in action real quick.
It’s a subtle improvement but one that could have major impact on attack strategies. Think of it as a Haste spell plus a Balloon combo in one. And best of all, it only takes up 8 housing space. Here are the full stats of the Rocket Balloon:

- Targets: Ground

The stats are actually similar to that of the regular Balloon, but the extra speed boost means it will likely make it to its target before getting blasted out of the sky. It’s also important to note that with the built in speed, you no longer have to bring the haste spell with you. This could open up strategies such as bringing an invisibility spell.
The Rocket Balloon isn’t the only threat from above coming in the June 2021 update. While we’ll have to wait for the next sneak peek, Supercell teases, “keep your eyes on the skies as we reveal our next sneak peek. Just don’t watch too closely or you might get some debris in your face…”
The teaser has led to all sorts of speculation, but another aerial troop makes sense given the upgrades to all the air defenses and buildings coming with this update. The Rocket Balloon is the second sneak peek for the June 2021 summer update for Clash of Clans, which I expect will arrive later this week.
