The rumor mill for the Nintendo Switch Pro continues to churn and this weekend we got another… let’s call it a “clue”… that the next iteration of Nintendo’s hybrid console is on the way. Spotted by eagle-eyed folks on social media, it appears Amazon Mexico had a listing for a “Nintendo Switch Pro,” which is what the rumored hardware model is referred to.

The listing was removed shortly after being outed but you know the internet; nothing is ever gone forever. Multiple users on social media captured screenshots of the listing before it was taken down.

This doesn’t necessarily confirm that the Nintendo Switch Pro is real. But it’s worth mentioning that Amazon Mexico has listed unannounced products that eventually came to fruition in the past, including Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Luigi’s Mansion 3.

It is strongly believed that Nintendo will announce a new Switch model in the near future, possibly before E3 next month. Nintendo doesn’t usually participate in the annual summer event, but does have its own digital direct stream around the same time. Again, nothing has been announced, but we do expect big things from Nintendo.

Will it be a new console? That seems to be the current speculation. Bloomberg recently reported that Nintendo has plans to begin assembly on a new, upgraded Switch as early as July with the goal of launching it in September or October.

The current Nintendo Switch launched in March 2017, so four years would seem to be a good time to introduce an upgraded version. The Nintendo Switch Pro is rumored to offer 4K support and come with a 7-inch OLED screen.

As we head into June and approach E3, it’s quite likely that additional rumors and leaks will continue to come out — especially if the Nintendo Switch Pro is real. For now though, it’s all only speculation.
