Pokémon Go finally added Eevee’s final evolution to the game on May 25. With the addition of Sylveon, every evolution of Eevee is no available in Pokémon Go. Thanks to Pokémon Go’s official Twitter page, we already knew that Sylveon was going to be coming to the game at some point and that point was on May 25.
According to a recent Tweet from the official Pokémon Go page, the way that you can evolve Eevee into Sylveon is to have Eevee as your buddy and collect hearts while they are your buddy. That is one way you can evolve Eevee into Sylveon, but there is also a way easier and more quick way to go about doing this thanks to the Pokémon Go community.

From the early moments of Pokémon Go, you may remember how you were able to name Eevee a certain name and then you would ultimately get that evolution that was tied to the name. If you wanted Jolteon, you would name your Eevee “Sparky.” If you wanted Flareon, you would name your Eevee “Pyro.” If you wanted Vaporeon, you would name your “Eevee Rainer.” This was a neat little naming trick that players found out so that you were able to get all the evolutions of Eevee that you wanted.
That same naming trick that is used for other variations of Eevee will work for Sylveon. If you name your Eevee a very specific name as well. What must you name your Eevee before you evolve it to get Sylveon? Well, that’s easy. All you have to do is rename your Eevee “Kira.” Once you rename an Eevee to Kira and go to evolution screen, you will see a a silhouette of Sylveon.
It is a pretty simple trick if you do not feeling like grinding out hearts with Eevee as your buddy. A simple name change is all it will take to get Sylveon registered in your Pokedex so that you can continue your path on the journey to catching them all. However, if you rather not make a name change at all, collecting hearts with Eevee as your buddy is always another option at your disposal.
