Microsoft has been developing the Xbox Cloud Gaming service since 2019. Previously being known as Xcloud, it is now being referred to as Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is a huge step towards the future of gaming. Microsoft has big plans that will allow you to take gaming where ever you go.

What is the Xbox Cloud Gaming service and how much does it cost?

Microsoft has developed the Xbox Cloud Gaming service to allow Xbox gamers to take some of their favorite Xbox games on the go and be able to play them on their iOS devices and PCs. This means that if you download the Xbox Game Pass app on your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or PC and the game is deemed to be Cloud compatible, you will be able to play that game on your device.

Within the past decade, the thought of playing console video games on a mobile device might have seemed out of reach. However, in this day and age with how fast technology is progressing, it seems to be that the sky is the limit in terms of what the future of gaming will offer.

If you are looking to take part in this gaming service, all you need is to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which is only $14.99 a month. Many gamers are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which means that the Xbox Cloud Gaming service will automatically be available for you to use once it goes live to the public for no additional charge.

It is a neat feature that you don’t have to worry about paying extra for. If the Xbox Cloud Gaming service is something you want to take part in, you must consider subscribing for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

How am I able to get an invite to the Xbox Cloud Gaming beta?

Unfortunately, at the moment the beta is a closed beta. That means the only way you are going to be able to take part in this beta is Microsoft sends you an invite to take part in it. If you are selected to take part in this closed beta, Microsoft will send you an invite to your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate email. Beta invites have already started to be sent out as early as Tuesday, April 20.

Microsoft promises that it will continue to send out more invites to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members over time. So, if you are a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, check your email because your invite could have already been sent out. If you aren’t one of the lucky beta testers at this moment, you may be invited to try out the service in the near future so don’t forget to check your email.

Another cool and interesting thing about Xbox Cloud Gaming is that you will also be able to hook up an Xbox controller and play with a controller if you rather play with a controller. You don’t have to play with a controller, but the option is available to you if you want it.

Microsoft has not hesitated to make sure that you still have that same console gaming feel even if you plan on playing on the go. If you have an Android device, the Xbox Cloud Gaming service is already live. IOS and PC gamers, you do not have to wait much longer. The Xbox Cloud Gaming service will be going live to the public on PC and IOS devices in the near future.
