Clash of Clans Spring 2021 update: Town Hall 14 now live
The highly anticipated Spring 2021 update is now live in Clash of Clans, which means it’s time to upgrade your Village to Town Hall 14. Hopefully, you took advantage of the recent Hammer Jam event because there’s a lot to work towards with this new update.
We’ve been covering the Spring 2021 update extensively for about a week now, but if you have missed our previous coverage, here’s a quick recap of what’s included.
The highlight, of course, is Town Hall 14, a brand new level for your main Village. The Jungle-themed Town Hall 14 costs 16 million gold and requires
20 days to upgrade to. Doing so will unlock 25 additional wall pieces, and one each of: Air Bomb, Seeking Air Mine, Skeleton Trap, Bomb and Giant Bomb. You’ll also get new Defense/Building/Trap levels, new Hero levels, new Troop levels and new Spell levels.

But beyond these new levels, Town Hall 14 upgrades some exciting new features! For starters, it now drops a Poison bomb upon being destroyed which damages and slows enemies. Reaching Town Hall 14 also unlocks the two main features of the Spring 2021 update: Hero Pets and Battle Builder.
Hero Pets are, without a doubt, one of the most exciting new additions. The Pet House is available at Town Hall 14 and can be upgraded a total of four times, with each level unlocking a new Pet. Each Hero can have one pet assigned to them at a time, bu you are free to mix and swap as you see fit, so definitely experiment with the different combinations to see what’s strongest. Each Pet has its own special ability and can be upgraded up to Level 10.
The next major feature unlocked at Town Hall 14 are Battle Builders, transforming your plain Builder’s Huts into Defensive Builder’s Huts, armed with a defensive turret. Additionally, your builders will no longer cower in fear when getting attacked. Now they’ll participate in the battle, repairing any structures that are within range of their Builder Hut.
While some are disappointed that no new Troops or Spells were introduced with Town Hall 14, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Supercell has already stated they prefer to space out their content so that it gives players something to look forward to and doesn’t overwhelm them at once. What do you think of the Clash of Clans Spring 2021 update? Was it worth the wait?
