Oddworld: Soulstorm free on PS5 for PS Plus members in April
Sony has announced the free PlayStation Plus games for April. In addition to the fabulous batch of games we received through the Play at Home 2021 initiative, PS Plus subscribers will be getting three more free games.
For PlayStation 5, next month’s free game is Oddworld: Soulstorm, a sequel set directly after the events of 2014’s Oddworld: New ‘N’ Tasty. Oddworld comes to life with 2.9D platforming, which adds more depth and immersion. The game also makes use of the DualSense’s haptic feedback as you’ll actually feel Abe’s heartbeat during intense moments. While Oddworld: Souldstorm is also coming to PlayStation 4, only the PS5 version is free through PS Plus.

But fret not PS4 owners. You’re getting two free games. The first is Bend Studios’ Days Gone, a post-apocalyptic zombie action-adventure. Days Gone has actually been free for PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5 for a while, but now PS4 owners will be able to experience it.
The third and final free game next month is yet another zombie-inspired game. Zombie Army 4: Dead War takes place during an alternate version of 1940s Europe where players must fight to save humankind from an undead armageddon. Zombie Army 4’s campaign is playable with up to four players. We reviewed the game when it first launched, complimenting its gunplay and overall game mechanics. While it didn’t necessarily bring anything new to the zombie genre, it’s still a great addition for any fans eager to add to their undead game collection.
And remember, next month, starting on April 19, you can download Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition. The game will be available for free for all PlayStation users regardless of whether or not you are a PS Plus subscriber. Also free right now through Play at Home are The Witness, Enter the Gungeon, Rez Infinite, Abzu and more. Check out the full slate of Play at Home 2021 free games.
