People Can Fly’s cooperative shooter-RPG, Outriders, is set to launch on April 1. The highly anticipated game promises to be a “complete experience” at launch, with a complete story and full endgame. Outriders will be available on Xbox and PlayStation consoles, PC and even Google Stadia. Here are some of the details you need to know about the game’s launch.

Can you preload Outriders?

Like every game these days, Outriders has a pretty hefty file size. So you’ll probably want to get a jump on preloading the game ahead of launch. The game is already available to preload on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One for those who have pre-ordered the game. You can also preload on PC as of yesterday, while Stadia obviously doesn’t require you to preload.

As a reminder, Outriders will be free on Xbox for those who are Xbox Game Pass subscribers. You’ll be able to play it for free on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One as long as you’re subscribed.

Outriders release times

The console versions of Outriders will unlock at your local time on April 1st. The PC launch times are a bit more confusing:

  • Los Angeles – April 1, 09:00 PDT
  • New York – April 1, 12:00 EDT
  • Brasilia – April 1, 13:00 BRT
  • London – April 1, 17:00 BST
  • Berlin – April 1, 18:00 CEST
  • Moscow – April 1, 19:00 MSK
  • Abu Dhabi – April 1, 20:00 GST
  • Tokyo – April 2, 01:00 JST
  • Canberra – April 2, 03:00 AEDT

PC Specs

Outriders looked pretty awesome when I played the demo on PC. I imagine it will look even better on PC with Ultra settings. Here are the final confirmed system requirement, from minimum to recommended to ultra settings:

If you don’t have a gaming console or capable PC, you can still play Outriders thanks to NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW. With the power of cloud gaming, you can stream Outriders on any device, anywhere, including Macbook, an underpowered PC and even your iPhone.

If you’re on the fence with Outriders, it might help to know that a demo of the game is available, allowing you to play the early portion of the campaign and try out all four classes. Any progress you make during the demo will carry over to the full game if you decide to purchase it.
