343 Industries’ next installment of the Halo franchise is currently scheduled for release later this year during the Holiday 2021 season. Much like Cyberpunk 2077, the release of Halo Infinite has been delayed on more than one occasion. While the delays certainly aren’t anything to be ecstatic about, this may be a blessing in disguise.

If it hasn’t happened to you yet, chances are, you’ll hear “90s games were better than the trash people play today” or “developers used to care more” sometime during your life of existence in this world.

Therefore, a video game title as prominent as the Halo franchise shouldn’t be rushed; that’s a no-brainer. The only real issue is getting a majority of fans’ hopes up for a release only to push the date back several times.

We’ve seen time and time again that not rushing something leads to great success. As with Cyberpunk, succumbing to the pressure can play a huge factor in how well a video game is received.

But one question that no one is asking right now is, will it really matter how great of a game Infinite turns out when it is released?

Back in the day, first-person shooter games like Unreal Tournament, Medal of Honor, and Quest were all the rage.

Now it’s all about RPGs and games with compelling stories.

Then, there’s the fact that after all these years, some people may feel that Master Cheif and the gang just don’t quite peak their interests anymore.

For every great release, there’s also a plethora of game titles that are deemed trash or mediocre at best, no matter the era.

Sure, some can be chalked up as biased opinions, but games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 are an entirely different story.

Next. Is Halo Infinite shaping up to be the next blockbuster disappointment?. dark

Will Halo Infinite suffer the same fate as the aforementioned titles or will the extra time spent making the game pay dividends. Well, I guess the answer will come soon enough this holiday season.
