As we’ve talked about here a bunch, Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game is finally back after a decade of being unavailable outside using a PS3 like mine that existed specifically to store Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game. While the game is filled with obvious references to games like Mario, Sonic and even has a hidden store playing homage to the hidden shop in River City Ransom, there is another homage to old school games you may not know about: cheat codes!

Yup, harkening back to the older days of gaming, this game has hidden codes you can input before you play, much like my previous mention of the special code for Donkey Kong Country 3 that makes all the bonus stages holiday-themed. These aren’t anything like the classic Konami code to give you a ton of extra lives. Two of these are merely cosmetic and one unlocks a way to listen to the game’s excellent soundtrack, but the last code is absolutely game-breaking allowing you to tear through the game with a powerful weapon.

Without further ado, let’s get into it.

Sound Test “The Studio”

Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game has an excellent soundtrack. Mostly in part to the game having its entire soundtrack done by the band Anamanaguchi. If you’d like to just jam out to it without having to get to that entire stage, this is for you. Personally, I like it because it’s the best way to incorporate Joseph, the guy Steven Stills is in a relationship with for a massive chunk of the books.

To get to it, merely chill on the world select screen and enter the following:

Nintendo Switch: L, L, L, R, R, R, L, R
Playstation: L1, L1, L1, R1, R1, R1, L1, R1
Xbox: LB, LB, LB, RB, RB, RB, LB, RB

Once the code is entered, you’ll hear a little chime and then you’ll notice the space between the first stage and the mysterious house with the radio tower connecting on the map as shown here.
