What happens with the Gilmore Girls find the town of Stars Hollow overrun with monsters? Grab your weapons and send them back to hell!

Okay, so I’m going to start this article off with a disclaimer. I’m going to be talking about a patch for a ROM you shouldn’t have. I get ROMs are legal to own if you’re backing up a copy of your own game but considering that sealed copies of the game go from $400 to $800 online, chances are you do not have a legit copy of the game. If you do, kudos. But you probably don’t.

Moving on.

2021 has been an absolute ride so far. Political wackiness, bizarre public breakdowns and Kanye seeing…Star(s). It’s been insane. Luckily, there is a shining star in the darkness of the night sky that is 2021. Not just any star, but Stars Hollow itself.

See, once upon a time, awesome game artist and organizer Marlowe Dobbe, in the distant year of 2020, watched the entirety of Gilmore Girls. Her boyfriend joined her. As a gift for being an all-around cool guy, she made him a gift, not just any gift but quite possibly the best gift.

She released a mod for Fire Emblem 8 for the Game Boy Advance. It’s a one hour game with four different maps and a unique story. Honestly, the most unique story Fire Emblem has ever seen.

As the site describes:

This is a free patch that is available to anyone who has the proper software to get this thing attached and it is absolutely incredible.

If you have the means I highly recommend this gem as I’ve already got it in my notes as a candidate for 2021 Game of the Year just because I needed this at this dark hour.
