Far Cry 6: Potential release date may have been leaked
Far Cry 6 was originally scheduled for release in early 2021. However, with no official word on when it will be released, the date may have been leaked.
The Far Cry franchise is a very well known franchise that has brought plenty of success to the gaming industry. Far Cry 6 has had a ton of hype behind the video game, but unfortunately due to the delay that 2020 has brought, Ubisoft still hasn’t released any additional info on the game and when it will be released.
Some old information that should be noted is that Ubisoft did confirm a while ago that the game would not be released before April 1, 2021. April 1, 2021 is the start of Ubisoft’s new fiscal period and they do not want the game to be released before that. That brings us to the possible release date for Far Cry 6 that has been leaked.
According to the website Proxis.com, Far Cry 6 will be released on April 30, 2021. Under where it allows you to add the game to your shopping cart, it says the game is expected to be released on April 30, 2021. Of course there is always the chance that this was an error simply made by the Proxis website, but any version of the game that you view on the website all have the same release date of April 30.

If you piece that information with the information that I stated earlier about not being released until after April 1, 2021, due to their fiscal period, it all sort of makes sense. April 30 falls right after Ubisoft’s fiscal period starts and would still kind of make sense for “early” 2021 even though it not super early.
Obviously leaked release dates have to be taken with a grain of salt and nothing can ever be for sure. There is a reason these are just rumors and leaks because nothing has officially been confirmed by Ubisoft yet. However, this is the first big leak that we have gotten about Far Cry 6 so this is definitely something worth noting.

I am sure that within the next couple of months there will be more and more rumors and potentially confirmations on what the game will have to offer and when it will be released. For now, this is pretty big news and is only a matter of time before we know if this leaked released date turns out to be true or false!
