Call of Duty: Warzone is set to merge with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and will feature a brand new Warzone map for the first time ever.

The good news is that Call of Duty: Warzone is set to merge with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The bad news is that it has been delayed from December 10th to December 16th. Yes, that means we all have to wait a little bit longer, but everything will all be worth the wait. Treyarch also confirmed some very exciting news regarding the newest upcoming season of Warzone.

For the first time in Warzone history, there will be an all-new map for players to explore. While there have been changes to the current Warzone map that everyone is playing now, there has never been a brand new map added to the game. This is something that many players have been waiting for. For a game designed like Warzone, change is good.

However, at this time there is no additional information regarding what locations will be on the map, how big the map will be, or any other additional details about this new map. It seems that Treyarch is not ready to announce any of those details as of yet.

Treyarch also confirms that there will be more than 30 weapons added to Warzone from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Change has been expected to happen well before Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was even released since it was announced that Warzone was a game that would last well beyond Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This means new weapons, new blueprints and new surroundings set to impact Warzone in a massive way.

As if the news Treyarch has given its fan wasn’t enough, they also revealed that the Gulag will also have an all-new experience. Just like the details on the new map, there were no further details on how the Gulag would work.

Now that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is joining in on the Warzone grind, the new Battle Pass that is offered into the new season will all be united together and progression will be earned across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. What this means is that all rewards earned throughout the course of the Battle Pass will be shared across all three of those games.

This is perhaps the biggest news that has ever been released on Warzone by far and it will be interesting to see how these changes impact gameplay for the first part of the initial release of this update. My first guess on how it will affect players is that everyone is going to be on an even playing field to start as players are going to have to get used to a new map and all-new weapons. Like I stated before, change for this type of game is good and I cannot wait to dive into the next generation of Call of Duty: Warzone.
