The new Log Launcher Siege Machine looks to crush opposing enemy villages. Check out the sneak peek for the Clash of Clans December 2020 update.

Sneak peeks for the Clash of Clans December 2020 update aren’t the only thing rolling right along. Soon the Log Launcher Siege Machine will roll into town.

The Log Launcher does exactly what the name says. It rolls into your enemy’s base and launches spiked logs towards the town hall. The logs deal splash damage to nearby buildings and deal four times damage to walls. Once the Log Launcher reaches its destination, it will unlock its cargo of Clan Castle troops.

The Log Launcher is available when you upgrade your Siege Workshop to level 5 which is available at Town Hall 13. The Log Launcher costs 16 million Elixir with a 16 day build time. It takes up three Siege Capacity. It can be donated all the way down to Town Hall 10, however.

Here are the stats for each level. The training cost and training time remain the same regardless of level (100K Gold Training Cost, 20 min Training Time).

Level 1:

  • 140 Damage per Second
  • 4,000 Hit Points

Level 2

  • 8M Elixir Upgrade Cost
  • 160 Damage per Second
  • 4,400 Hit Points

Level 3

  • 11M Elixir Upgrade Cost
  • 14 Days Upgrade Time
  • 180 Damage per Second
  • 4,800 Hit Points

Level 4

  • 14M Elixir Upgrade Cost
  • 16 Days Upgrade Time
  • 200 Damage per Second
  • 5,200 Hit Points

The Log Launcher is similar to the Wall Wrecker but the key difference is the range of attack. The Log Launcher has some pretty incredible range (20 tiles or four buildings). It takes five logs to destroy a maximum level wall. So while it does less damage than the Wall Wrecker, the advantage it has is the range and ability to take out multiple layers of walls.

The main disadvantage is that the Log Launcher’s health slowly drains as time goes on, even if it’s not taking any actual damage. Another possible handicap for the Log Launcher, which may determine what bases you attack it with, is the fact that logs can only travel through a maximum of four buildings. This is to prevent it from being too overpowered, but it’s something to keep in the back of your head when attacking an enemy village.

The Log Launcher is an intriguing Siege Machine and it will be interesting to see the attack strategies surrounding it. This is the second sneak peek for the Clash of Clans December update, which I expect will arrive some point next week.
