Pokemon Sword and Shield: I got a legit Zarude today and you can too!

Codes for Pokemon Sword and Shield’s newest Mythical, Zarude, went out today. Here’s a reminder of how to get it!

The other day I posted an article on how to acquire the newest Mythical Pokemon, Zarude, by contacting French Gamestop equivalent “Micromania”. The issue is that it takes a few days to get the code from the time of sign up and a lot of people were worried they weren’t getting on.

Luckily I’m here to confirm that it works! I woke up this morning and found my three codes (I set up three accounts because I have two kids) in my email!

Make sure that you’re checking your spam folder because, originally, I think my email figured an email in French was spam. But when you see it you’ll get instructions that look like this:

All you need to do is go into your game and hit up “Mystery Gift” and then choose to receive a give via code. From there just enter the 16-digit code and you’ll receive it, just make sure your Switch can get online.

Zarude is an awesome looking Pokemon. The first thing I saw when I had it running alongside me is that it’s horrifying. It towers over you and slaps the ground aggressively whenever it runs. It flails around excitedly.
