Supercell has started the sneak peeks for the Clash of Clans Autumn/Fall 2020 update.

The Autumn/Fall 2020 update for Clash of Clans is coming, and likely very soon. Supercell today gave us our first sneak peek for the update which means it’s probably launching this month. Typically, Supercell shares sneak peeks for a week or so, depending on how much they have planned.

For one thing, we know the update will bring balance changes for Troops and Defenses. Over on the Clash of Clans forums is an entire list of balance changes coming to the game with a goal “to ensure the game remains fair, yet challenging.”

Wall Breakers are among the Troops that will be changing the most. They’ll now be able to use Jump Spell and their AI has been improved “for greater target consistency.” This will hopefully reduce the chance of attacking different Wall segments, making them more effective in shredding through an opponent’s defenses. Additionally, some of their damage will be shifted to their death.

With these changes, the Wall Breaker should become a more viable unit. With less unpredictability in its attack, you can better strategize how to use them for maximum effectiveness.

Inferno Dragon is also changing a bit as it will no longer heat up while flying. However, the charge-up time has been reduced overall for higher damage levels. The Super Archer will no longer miss targets within 0.1 tiles of her. Some other smaller tweaks to other units have also been. made.

For Defensives, not much has changed with Buildings. The Level 8 Air Defense (TH10) has had its hit points increased by 10HP with the goal of making it more resilient against Lightning Spell strikes.

Lastly, upgrade times and costs have been reduced for multiple Dark Elixir troops, including the Minion, Hog Rider, Valkyrie, Golem, Witch, Lava Hound and Bowler. Most of the time and cost reductions will take place in the early levels of each troop.

This is the first sneak peek for the Clash of Clans Fall/Autumn 2020 update. It’s unclear what else is planned, perhaps a new Troop or Super Troop. I wouldn’t expect too much from this update as the Fall update is typically smaller in scope as Supercell typically uses it to set the stage for the more massive Winter update to close out the year.
