Pokemon Home is finally receiving Pokemon Go support, something that players have been asking for since forever.

Today, on September 29th, Nintendo held a special direct in which they talked about Pokemon Sword and Shield’s The Crown Tundra DLC and several other exciting new events. Dropped towards the end of the event was the announcement for Pokemon Home.

Before the end of the year, Pokemon Home will be receiving Pokemon Go support. This is something people have been begging for since the game dropped.

You will be able to take Pokemon caught in Pokemon Go into Sword and Shield. Just note that once you do, they will not be coming back.

On the bright side, similar to transferring from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee/Pikachu, it will activate the item in GO that allows you to hunt Meltans. So that’s pretty cool.

Not that you’ll need t, though. Nintendo also announced that when the update goes into effect you’ll be able to get a free, special Melmetal in your Pokemon Home account. This version is different from the version you might have as this one is fully capable of Gigantamaxing becoming a whole new stretchy version of its former self. It looks really cool.
