The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Alpha is coming. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Following last night’s announcement, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Alpha pre-loading is now live on PlayStation 4. The exclusive PS4 Alpha runs through the weekend, starting on September 18 at 10 a.m. PDT, and concluding on September 20th at 10 a.m. PDT. It’s also free to all PS4 owners with no PlayStation Plus subscription required (unless you’re in Germany).

The Alpha is our first look at Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer and features a trio of traditional 6v6 modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination and Kill Confirmed. These modes will be playable across three maps during the Alpha: Miami, Moscow and Satellite. The selection of maps provide a range of experiences from the close quarters combat of Miami’s streets to the rocky, sand dunes of Satellite.

There’s also a new multiplayer mode you can try out, Combined Arms: Domination. This is a 12v12 twist on traditional Domination with vehicles and larger maps. Tanks, Snowmobiles, Wakerunners, and Gunboats are all at your disposal, helping you navigate the expansive environments and move quickly to different objectives. Combine Arms: Domination will be playable on two maps: Armada, where U.S. and Soviet forces battle it out in the North Atlantic Ocean in search of a prototype nuclear submarine, and Crossroads, which is set in the frozen Soviet wilderness where NATO forces ambush a large military convoy.

In addition to the new mods and maps, the Alpha will provide a glimpse at the Create-a-Class, Gunsmith, and Scorestreak customization features. However, the number of customization options will be limited during the Alpha.

While the Alpha kicks off tomorrow, you can pre-load it starting today. It checks in at a whopping 25GB in size. You can find the download links below:

You can also find a link to download through the main menu of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. All participants of the Alpha will receive a Calling Card for use across Modern Warfare, Warzone and eventually Black Ops Cold War.

The Alpha is just a taste of what’s in store when Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches on November 13. A planned Beta through October will feature more modes, maps, weapons and vehicles.
