Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta codes will be given away during this weekend’s Call of Duty League Championship.

Following the official reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Activision has announced a way for fans to receive codes for the game’s yet-to-be-announced beta. While beta codes for previous Call of Duty games have typically been linked with pre-orders, it seems Activision is doing it a little differently this year in hopes of promoting the Call of Duty League.

This year, various in-game rewards for Black Ops Cold War will be given away to those who tune in to this weekend’s Call of Duty League Championship. This also includes the chance to earn one of 10,000 randomly distributed codes for the upcoming beta.

The inaugural Call of Duty League Championship is a two-day event that begins on Saturday, August 29. By watching livestreams on CallofDutyLeague.com or the CoD companion app, you can earn rewards such as emblems, stickers, sprays, and player cards to be used in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Throughout the weekend, there will also be exclusive drops. During multiple times throughout Saturday’s matches, viewers can receive randomized drop codes for the CDL Champs Pack. This normally $14.99 pack includes “3 CDL blueprints with pro-approved attachments.”

"M4/HDR/M19 Blueprints, 2 charms, 55 player signatures (from 11 teams), 3 calling cards, 3 emblems, and 3 sprays."

On Sunday, viewers can earn the CDL Champs Knife Blueprint just by watching 30 minutes. As you can see, it’s specially designed with the sleek black and gold color scheme.

The most sought-after reward is almost certainly the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta codes. These will be dropped multiple times throughout the Championship Sunday match which begins at 4:00 p.m. ET. You’ll have to create an Activision account and link it to your platform of choice in order to receive any of these rewards. Activision did not announce when the beta will be held.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War was officially revealed this week. A direct sequel to Black Ops, it’s set in the early 1980s during the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical universe. The game will feature a story campaign, traditional multiplayer modes and a new Zombies experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is due out on November 13 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Specific PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions were also confirmed for Holiday 2020 alongside the launch of the next-gen consoles.
